To maintain the finish, simply wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth or alcohol. Avoid placing open flames, such as candles, directly on the table surfaces. As this is a brand-new item, a slight scent from the lacquer and raw materials may be present initially; this will dissipate within a week if left in a well-ventilated area.
